1) No, the title is not spelled wrong! Don’t judge a post by its title!
2)I am sooooooooo bored it’s not even funny.
3)I just got a sweet-a** (<— censored) skateboard, and I want to ride it, but apparently, mother nature doesn’t want me to because it’s like 300 degrees out there! (OK, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but still it’s like 112 here! Holy cow!)
Yah, I’m still in Texas (hence the 300 degree thing), and I went to an Outlet Mall near…Frisco (I think) yesterday and I got a reeeaaally cool skateboard at a store called Zumiez. I’ll give you the description and then post pictures at the bottom. For you skateboard experts out there who are reading this, you’ll probably understand what I’m saying. For the not-so-familliar people I’ll try to make it as clear as possible.
The Deck: Enjoi brand, Geek Chick design (There are pictures of the parts at the bottom)
What is a deck? A deck is the main body of the skateboard. Basically, the thing you stand on. There’s sandpaper-like grip tape on the top and a design on the bottom
The Trucks: Venture brand, white & black
What are trucks? The things that the wheels are connected to. If you don’t have trucks, you can’t skate. They’re important.
The Wheels: Plan B, multi colored
What are wheels? Well for the cavemen out there that have computers but haven’t reached real civilization, wheels are the round things on a skateboard that make friction less and help you glide along the pavement.
What are bearings? The things that help the wheels spin.
And yes, if you read my other posts, I wear a helmet and wrist pads.
If anyone out there knows the fundamentals of doing a trick on a skateboard, let me know. I’m a rookie.
The trucks are a little backwards in the picture… the main part is actually black and the other part is white.
