Renovations and Stuff

We now have new cabinets in our kitchen and bathroom! Pretty soon we’ll have a stove, dishwasher, and sink installed! We got new flooring in all of the upstairs rooms. Tile in the kitchen and bath, carpet in the 2 bedrooms, and new finished wood in the living room. It looks very nice. There are some Cardinal Construction guys here working on the kitchen now! Tomorrow, we get a shower and sink in the bathroom. Soon, we’ll get our couch, and finally, I’ll get to move back into my room instead of a couch downstairs. I can’t wait!

Wait a Second……where is the poem? I would have said something earlier but I just checked your site. Well I quote a poem just so people who want to read it don’t feal sad.

    Go, Lovely Rose
    by Edmund Waller

    Go, lovely Rose,—
Tell her that wastes her time and me,
    That now she knows,
When I resemble her to thee,
How sweet and fair she seems to be.

    Tell her that’s young,
And shuns to have her graces spied,
    That hadst thou sprung
In deserts where no men abide,
    Thou must have uncommended died.

    Small is the worth
Of beauty from the light retir’d:
    Bid her come forth,
    Suffer herself to be desir’d,
And not blush so to be admir’d.

    Then die, that she
The common fate of all things rare
    May read in thee;
How small a part of time they share,
That are so wondrous sweet and fair.
